Hayley is an associate in the firm’s Energy practice group.  She represents electric and gas public utilities and municipal aggregators in the Commonwealth on energy efficiency initiatives and other energy-related matters.  Hayley advises energy companies before the Department of Public Utilities.

Prior to joining Rich May, Hayley was a judicial law clerk for Justice Rachel E. Hershfang at the Massachusetts Appeals Court, where she worked on a wide range of civil and criminal cases.  While in law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal and as a student attorney in the Legislative Policy and Drafting Clinic, and also interned for multiple federal agencies and an environmental nonprofit.  Before becoming a lawyer, Hayley was a paralegal at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where she contributed to cases involving electric and gas utilities as well as the competitive electric supply market.
